Here we have a little movie from our recent Seascape adventure in Velas. César Sequeira and i went for a couple of shot yesterday, the weather was amazing and we found a cool spot with “green rocks”. Iupi….
Hope you enjoy it:
More action of the Splash Project, this time César Sequeira was behind the camera too.
Watch the movie:
Another idea tested. This time, and thinking that the Easter is coming, we decided (me and Rui Silveira) to “play” with almonds.
The aim was to make a Splah with yoghurt and almond. We putted a spoon full of yoghurt and we dropped the almonds to fall into it, to make the splash. The result was, a lot of mess, dirt and laughs. Saturday there’s more. Our colleague Cesar Sequeira could not appear, so we will continue to explore this idea.
Along we have short film session. Hope you enjoy.
Our outdoors photography this winter have not been many, because of the harsh winter we have had, however we have been fortunate to have some days with very good light.
Last night, after watching the weather forecast i thought that we could have some snow on the higher ground of the island. So I agreed with my photography friends to get up early this morning. At 6.30 in the morning we were at our meeting point, by going to the area of the Serra, we did not know if it would snow or not, but in one of the curves I felt my car to skid and just above we saw the it already had snowed on the road. We were the first to arrive. César Sequeira and I set up the tripod and began to photograph. After 15 minutes of shooting, came a great light on that wonderful landscape and we spend lots of time there, but it worth it the trip.
Along attached a short film I made later after having photographed the sunrise.
I hope you enjoy.
This month was very inspiring and as Rui said in his blog, there were some ideas that had to be explored.
Rui came up with the idea of light paint + flash with a model in a studio. After a few hours session we obtained very interesting results.
We have a short video that shows our enthusiasm.
This weekend was time for an exit. The weather was excellent and we decided to go to Topo, the most oriental place of the island of S. Jorge.
The Photo-shoot was combined in order to have chance to photograph the sunrise. We arrived early, 7.30am, but unfortunately the weather did not help, the sun and those great colours that we were interested in, didn’t appeared. After waiting for the right light of the day, we went in search of waterfalls, which incidentally has been the subject recently.
It had rained a lot the previous night and we were very surprised with the whole lot of water in the streams. In the first stream that we had opportunity to go to, we found a big difficulty because of their location. At the bottom of a valley of difficult access, with lots of rocks and plants. We decided to go the banks, glad option, we found a fall with near, almost 10m high, unfortunately the light at that time was not the best, so we will return to photograph it.
It was a very interesting day. Before the waterfalls we found some very photogenic cows. They were grazing and seemed rather bored with our presence.
Finally, i think that this was a very productive Photo-shoot, not only for the work accomplished, but by the places that we will visit soon.
